Left-handed cutting with right-handed scissors<\/h2>\n

We sell two types of left-handed hairdressing scissors. Traditional left-handed scissors and left-handed scissors for hairdressers who are used to right-handed scissors. Why? In hairdressing training all students start with right-handed scissors.<\/p>\n

A left-handed hairdresser cutting with right-handed scissors gives a natural pressure on the scissors, causing the blades to open. To prevent this, the hairdresser, often unconsciously, pulls the scissors with his thumb. As soon as a left-handed hairdresser has been in the business for several years, a conscious choice is often made for left-handed scissors. However, this switch is bigger than it looks! When using left-handed scissors, pulling the scissors (unconsciously) ensures that the blades open correctly and the hair doubles during cutting.<\/p>\n

This \"pulling\" on the scissors often proves difficult to unlearn. Therefore, for a left-handed hairdresser who is used to right-handed scissors, we have developed left-handed scissors with the blades of right-handed scissors. As a hairdresser, you can continue to follow the learned scissors handling and you also enjoy the ergonomic advantages of left-handed scissors. Straight scissors vs. ergonomic scissors<\/h2>\n

The difference between an ergonomic and a straight, non-ergonomic scissors is noticeable in the load on your body. When using non-ergonomic scissors in a horizontal position, your elbows will automatically lift and strain your neck and shoulders. Ergonomic scissors, on the other hand, can be handled in a horizontal position with low elbows and relaxed shoulders thanks to the offset. Your body is not burdened.<\/p>\n

Did you know that ergonomic scissors do not give you a physical advantage if you use the overhand cutting technique? Swivel scissors<\/h2>\n

Swivel scissors have rotating handles. This allows you to make all kinds of turning movements from your hand. However, our philosophy is that it is especially important to you as a hairdresser that you are aware of your posture and scissors handling. We are convinced that you do not need swivel scissors, provided you cut inside your hands and do not put your thumb too far into the thumb eye. Do you have difficulty with this? Folding hair<\/h2>\n

Right-handed scissors can be recognized by the top that opens upwards. With left-handed scissors, the top opens downwards. Using the correct scissors is important to avoid double-hitting hair. If you are using standard left-handed right-handed scissors, you are applying natural pressure to the scissors, causing the blades to open. This results in folding hair. The same happens if you use left-handed scissors as standard right-handed.<\/p>\n

Texturizer<\/h2>\n

There are two different types of right-handed thinning scissors. For the European way of cutting, the blade is placed with the teeth up. The other type of coupe scissors are suitable for the Japanese way of cutting and have the blade with the teeth down.<\/p>\n

The application of thinning scissors requires careful attention. If you cut with the European coupe scissors as standard, the hair glides effortlessly over the convex side of the cutting blade. Using the same cutting technique with Japanese thinning scissors, pull the hair against the concave part of the blade and strip the hair.
